A walk in the woods
When I got up, Edinburgh was full of morning mist The kind I associate with a thousand family holidays to the Lake District and Wales, the kind we took picnics and went for walks in. Much as I love this city, it's a city and I'm a country girl at heart. I fake urban sophistication with the best of them, but I look to the future and want to see myself alone, in a cottage, with cats. A little stone house at the edge of a village, surrounded by hills, in the middle of nowhere. Alone, always alone. Maybe I'm just solitary by nature, but even when I think of the children I don't really want, I envisage myself as a single parent. I'm probably just selfish. Don't want to share. And observe the fact that one may now access my older entries from the arrows below, should one so desire. ______________________________we have come so far :: it is over
